Define conversions

To define a conversion report, open the Conversion tracking page and follow these steps:

  1. Click the Define a conversion button.
  2. Name your conversion.
    For example Get more sales opportunities in the enterprise market
  3. For each conversion event that you have selected, define the interactions that you want to target.
    You can define only one or multiple conversions events.

  4. Optionally, define the monetary value for this conversion.
    For more information, see Value attributed to asset or conversion.
  5. Optionally, define the conversion window.
    Generally, this is the time period prior to the date when you have defined the conversion - since that date, tracked data is included in your conversion report. Select one of the following:
  6. Optionally, define a specific visitor segment to track.
    You can define a single rule or a combination of rules that visitors need to comply with to be tracked in the segment.
    You can choose All, Any, or a Custom combination of rules. For more information, see Segment visitors.
    EXAMPLE: You can define a conversion that analyzes visitors’ behavior when a visitor meets any of the following rules:
    • Register an email address as a new user
    • Did not participate in an email campaign
  7. Click Save this conversion.
